OPINION - Donald Trump is poised to win the 2024 election as it seems the Democratic Party is struggling to maintain positive outlooks within minority communities. Although the economy has been stabilizing with the inflation rate well above 3,% but under 5% consecutively, many Americans do not feel optimistic about the economic future of the United States under President Joe Biden.
Times are tough for the Joe Biden administration as the pressure is on for the 2024 election cycle. Donald Trump has been making strong ground among Latino voters and younger voters, in general. With Democrats being unable to court some black communities, many are feeling disillusioned by the party. The enthusiasm behind President Joe Biden within the Democratic party has simmered down quite a bit. The once fiery energy to get him to lead the country has left a smoky ember; there isn’t enough energy behind Joe Biden or in him to keep him going. Although the media that leans more in favor of Biden is doing its best to paint a positive facade, it won’t be enough to please unhappy progressives who have been angry at the Biden administration since the earliest parts of his administration.

A new drive of conservatism drives some younger voters in California, while Republicans in Florida and Texas are gaining steam. Now, do not get this confused, they may be calling themselves conservative, but they are more libertarian economically. Their strong sense of social conservatism is what drives their narrative, however, their calls for classically liberal economic values drive a wedge between them and the evangelical guard of the Grand Old Party. Republicans are in the middle of a center-right to right-wing populist takeover as younger Trump fanatics are taking center stage in leading the future of the Republican party. Many of these young Trump fanatics are Latinos which is also shaking up the “Republicans are racist” narrative that the Democrats have relied on for the past two decades.
Although it is too early to leave a total prediction with a stamp of approval, where the polls are, Joe Biden will have difficulty beating Donald Trump. Donald Trump is quickly rising in the polls as Joe Biden falters. Time will tell if Trump can win over Latinos and Black voters in time before the election. Who will you be voting for in the 2024 presidential election in the United States?
