United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, SLAMS Cuban Regime On Cuban independence Day Leaving Trump Open To Cuban Intervention

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio earlier this morning, May 20, 2026, delivered a scathing rebuke of the Cuban regime and its lack of progress for the Cuban people. Rubio highlighted the island’s economic failures under the Castro-era system and argued that corruption within the regime has continued to expand while ordinary Cubans suffer through worsening economic limitations. He stated that Cubans deserve the same opportunities enjoyed by Cuban Americans living in Florida and throughout the United States, placing President Donald Trump at the center of growing discussions surrounding possible U.S. involvement and policy expansion toward Cuba and the Caribbean.

In Rubio’s video message, he specifically referenced how, in 1902, the Cuban flag flew for the first time over an independent Cuba in resistance to Castilian rule and foreign domination. He contrasted that historic moment with modern-day Cuba, where many citizens continue to suffer under the current regime. Rubio publicly expressed support for the Cuban people not only in spirit, but through potential direct U.S. assistance aimed at helping secure a better future for the island. He described the ongoing blackouts as unacceptable for a nation in the Americas while, according to his remarks, wealthy Cuban elites control approximately $18 billion in assets tied to nearly 70% of the Cuban economy through the military-linked conglomerate GAESA.

Prior to Rubio’s remarks, Cuban leadership had engaged in increasingly confrontational rhetoric, arguing that the country has the right to defend itself against foreign pressure. While that argument is valid from a sovereignty standpoint, critics contend that the government has focused more on preserving its political pride against the United States than addressing the worsening conditions faced by ordinary Cubans. The island’s blackouts continue to damage the economy and deepen the country’s recessionary conditions. At the same time, broader geopolitical tensions, including complications surrounding the U.S.–Iran conflict and disruptions in global energy markets, are contributing to unstable fuel supplies throughout Cuba and parts of the Caribbean.

In 2023 and 2024, Cuba’s economy contracted by 1.9% and 1.1%, respectively. Energy shortages and weak tourism performance were among the primary causes of the decline. Chronic shortages of medical supplies and humanitarian aid have further strained hospitals and recovery efforts across the country, while limited access to international financing has constrained Cuba’s economic potential under its state-dominated system. Although the United States embargo remains in place, the Cuban leadership has continued to mismanage the economy and plunge much of the population into worsening poverty and instability.

Cuba’s dependence on oil cannot be overstated. The Communist Party has struggled to successfully modernize the island’s energy infrastructure or significantly expand solar and wind alternatives, leaving the country heavily reliant on oil-based energy production. Domestic oil production has remained relatively stagnant despite rising global oil prices. Estimates suggest Cuba produces between 24,000 and 40,000 barrels of oil per day while importing more than 110,000 barrels daily, a dependency made even more difficult by sanctions and trade restrictions connected to the embargo. Renewable energy sources account for only approximately 3.6% of the country’s total energy production.

Meanwhile, reports indicate increasing U.S. military activity throughout the Caribbean and near the Florida Straits. According to recent reporting, an MQ-4C Triton surveillance drone has been operating off the coast of Cuba since at least February 2026. Additional reports have also confirmed the presence of U.S. destroyers and active Coast Guard units throughout the northern Caribbean. U.S. Southern Command has maintained a heightened regional presence following the reported extraction of Nicolás Maduro from Venezuela.

Cuba remains central to broader U.S. strategic concerns regarding security and stability throughout the Caribbean region. However, the question now facing Havana is whether the Cuban government will allow its current system to collapse under mounting economic pressure, political unrest, and growing international scrutiny. Marco Rubio is correct in exposing Cuba's issues, and it may be time for the Cuban people to call for a change.

US-Venezuela Oil Pact Expands Offsetting Iran War Supply Shock

As US-Israeli strikes on Iran since late February 2026 disrupt crude flows through the Strait of Hormuz and damage export hubs like Kharg Island, the Trump administration is rapidly expanding energy agreements with Venezuela to restore global supply balance.

Following the January 3 capture of Nicolás Maduro and the installation of interim leader Delcy Rodríguez, the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control issued and updated General Licenses 46 through 50 (latest March 13 expansions). These authorize American and international majors—including Chevron, BP, Shell, Eni, and Repsol—to invest in exploration, provide diluents and equipment, generate electricity, and freely export Venezuelan-origin crude and petrochemicals.

Venezuelan production, recently near 1 million barrels per day, is accelerating with targeted US investment and technology. Early exports have surged, with direct shipments to US Gulf Coast refiners like Phillips 66 and Citgo, while trading houses handle broader marketing. Analysts project 30-40% output growth within 2026, adding hundreds of thousands of barrels daily.

This strategic pivot—explicitly framed by Energy Secretary Chris Wright as a counter to Iranian disruptions—delivers immediate relief to price volatility and supports US energy security without relying on the volatile Middle East chokepoint. While full recovery requires billions more in investment, the new pacts are already stabilizing markets.

Did Joe Biden Soil Himself At D-Day Ceremony in Normandy, France?

United States President Joe Biden was at the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France where he was there to commemorate our fallen and living soldiers of World War II. During the event, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, leans forward after shaking Emmanuel Macron's hand. Emmanuel Macron—the Prime Minister of France—and Jill Biden continue to please the crowd as Joe Biden leans forward stiffly which has garnered attention. Humorously, commenters on social media are referring to the event as #ShitGate2024, or simply 'Shitgate'.

At the D-Day Ceremony—after sharing a handshake with Emmanuel Macron—Joe Biden leaned forward stiffly. It seemed he could not move and was trembling for moments, which concerned many people. He regained his composure and stood upright again, however, after his time on stage, he was whisked away by Jill Biden, his wife. Speculators have made their comments on the events.

As ShitGate2024 is underway, the media quickly shares their interpretations of events. Republicans and conservatives have taken the moment to jab at the president after previous 'accidents' that Joe Biden has had. Previously, Joe Biden was rumored to have soiled his pants at the Vatican when meeting with Pope Francis, although no official statement has been made confirming this event. Democrats have been mum on the story but may release more context. There is no official declaration on whether he soiled himself (at this time).

As the 2024 Presidential election draws near, situations like "ShitGate2024" will be more common as there will be more rumors and claims coming from all sides about Joe Biden and Donald Trump. As far as Shitgate is concerned, Joe Biden would need to appear more strong at public events to avoid any claims against his ability to lead or negative views about this health.

Should Latinos in Florida or California Support Palestine or Latino Issues?

OPINION - On various social networks I've been noticing a trend of Latinos and indigenous Americans overwhelmingly showing their support for Palestine. Many people, especially fanatics, change their profile biography and their profile image into something related to Palestine. Their energy for this movement is thoughtful, but I see a major problem. Many times Latinos get tricked by the mainstream media to reject their own interests, look at their attempt with "Latinx".

Throughout the years, the Republican party in the United States has called on the American voter to strongly consider who they support. Shall we vote for people that take human trafficking seriously or should we vote for politicians that call other politicians racist for bringing up the topic of human trafficking at the southern border? Democrats have always responded to calls about child abuse and women abuse at the southern border as if they were nonexistent. They don't believe any atrocities are happening in Latin America while lecturing us that it is tantamount for us to get involved in overseas conflicts. Ukraine, or Palestine, they want us to follow into whatever their short attention span is attracted to in the moment.

Now, to return to the abundance of pro-Palestine Latinos, these Latinos truly disturb me. I suppose there is some good as some Latinos oppose Joe Biden over Palestine. However, the Latinos, who are willing to prioritize bringing awareness to and sharing discussions about the Palestinian conflict (as if society didn't already know), would rather prioritize Palestine than their own Latino country or their home state (for US-born Hispanics). Our issues, as Latinos, range from drug cartel issues to underaged births, the indigenous community, specifically, suffers far more from poverty and human trafficking. Why is there no strong movement at the national level or international level to stop human trafficking and sex trafficking? It's probably because the people who run the media are the ones sheltering the child abusers.

It's no wonder it took this long to take down Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell, and with that, we still don't know much. I don't have confidence in a system that constantly tells me I need to be worried about conflicts overseas when the US standard of living is decreasing compared to the world and people are struggling in the Americas. Other Latinos may want to prioritize Palestine, but I am not one of those Latinos. Latinos should be focused on bettering our community instead of a war about five thousand miles away.

US Lifting Some Travel Restrictions For Covid

The United States has finally begun relaxing its Covid restrictions regarding international travel and it seems that the authoritarian limitations have been somewhat relaxed for the time being. As Covid cases fall, more countries will be looking to liberalize their trading efforts to begin the process of accepting more tourists and other travelers into their country's.

Under the new restrictions, travelers still must show proof of negative Covid test and must also be "fully vaccinated" before taking their flight into the United States. Children are not required to be vaccinated but they must return a negative Covid test traveling by air. Children 2 and under are exempt from both requirements. Land travel from Mexico or Canada will only require proof of vaccination.

Beginning Today (Monday, November 8, 2021),

Travel bans from specific countries have now been lifted. These countries include:

  • Mexico
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom (for European Travelers).
  • Many other European Nations.
  • The new policies come after over a year in a half of harsh travel limitations during the China Virus outbreak of 2019/2020 that has devastated the entire globe, with no repercussions against the Chinese regime. Many other European countries and other allies are still pressuring countries to open up to expand trade efforts, however, some nations are still very cautious about liberating their people out of fear of another mutation.

China Leaks US Diplomat's Private Information Amid Hong Kong Protests

As protests in Hong Kong persists over China slowly encroaching on Hong Kong's relative sovereignty, which will last until 2047, Pro-Beijing media outlets leaning with the Communist Party of China have recently disclosed private information of a US Diplomat, Julie Eadeh, amid tensions coming from the trade war and accusations of foreign manipulation regarding these protests.

Ta Kung Pao, a pro-Beijing newspaper, published images of protesters meeting with Julie Eadeh in a hotel on Thursday (August 8th, 2019), while also disclosing Eadeh's private information such as information of her personal career, and the names of her husband and her children, which triggered a strong response from the US State Department claiming that China is engaging in "thuggish" behavior. Julie Eadeh is a political section chief working for the US Consulate in Hong Kong.  The report by Ta Kung Pao circulated throughout Chinese state media as China continues to accuse the United States and the CIA of encouraging a "color revolution" to destabilize relations between Hong Kong's people and Beijing's rule. China's foreign ministry has accused the US of direct involvement in the Hong Kong protests calling it a "creation of the United States".

Chinese state media has also targeted Joshua Wong, a known protestor who was released from jail after he was arrested back in 2014 for participating in pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, while also accusing him of foreign manipulation. On Facebook, Wong has disclosed that he did meet with US officials but has dismissed accusations of foreign manipulation regarding the recent leaks. He said within a post on Facebook, "In the past, I've also visited Washington and communicated directly with U.S. Lawmakers," he continues, "This meeting is nothing special."

The protests in Hong Kong have gone on for 9 consecutive weeks with no sign of dissolving. Trump has also made a recent announcement that "We are not ready to make a deal" regarding trade with China and Huawei.

The 'ANTIFA' Are Against Free Speech

OPINION - The Anti-Fascists, or ANTIFA, are notorious for being against free speech while claiming to be champions of decentralized democracy and liberty.

I've noticed over the years researching the ANTIFA movement, and their "decentralized" mobilization of violent attacks against opposing protestors and journalists, that they truly are against free speech. I'm not one to defend racists or ethnicists and sexists but given the circumstances and looking at this issue from a purely free speech perspective, the ANTIFA movement are adamant in shutting down opposing views, with unjustified violence. Since I am Latino with mixed blood thanks to my ancestors, and I am one who also supports the LGBTQ community, I feel as if there is a need for me to be vocal about how dangerous the ANTIFA are when they demand individuals to be deplatformed simply because they disagree with someone else. The ANTIFA don't really care about minorities and lots of times its primarily white ANTIFA members who try to speak for minorities and when a minority speaks out against their rhetoric, they (ANTIFA) smear any individual and threaten them with violence, even if they are minorities. It's pretty sickening to say the least, especially when they believe they speak for me and the Latino community, among other communities.

I am against racism, however, I am not against individuals speaking freely. If an individual wants to carry themselves as a racist then so be it, it doesn't have any effect on me until that individual gets into a seat of power where they can use their racism to attack minorities or races and ethnicities that are not of their own. This is where I and the ANTIFA don't see eye to eye, it's purely a free speech issue. I'm first and foremost not afraid to speak out but I know that eventually when ANTIFA members see this they will likely demand tech giants to deplatform me from various social networks for calling them out.

The ANTIFA are not arbiters of truth, and for certain they would be the first to demand the government to use its power to steal from and tax blacks and Latinos because of their utopian world view simply because of a disagreement. As a hyper-capitalist, the ANTIFA movement is just a band of unsuccessful people blaming the world and the "system" for their own lack of ambition. I am certain that the ANTIFA will continue attacking free speech activists and will eventually oppose me as well. The ANTIFA do not care about the rights or the freedoms of individuals, they will smear white people and belittle Latinos and blacks who oppose their views. They cannot be trusted at the end of the day.

SpaceX: Succesful Launch of the "Most Difficult Launch Ever"

SpaceX successfully launched (June 25th, 2019 @ 2:30 AM) with the Falcon Heavy for the STP-2 Mission and SpaceX successfully recovered two of three of the core boosters; two returned to Florida, while a third did not successfully land on a drone-ship in the Atlantic. 24 Satellites were deployed.

This mission from SpaceX was the first time they reused the side core boosters from previous launches, which arguably, has come with concerns such as if it could have been sustainable. Nonetheless, the Mission successfully deployed its payload which included an Atomic Clock from NASA and a new fuel will be tested for the Green Propellant Infusion Mission by NASA. The Falcon Heavy also successfully deployed a suite of satellites from the NOAA, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which includes technology that will help meteorologists and climatologists monitor earth's weather patterns with greater accuracy and predictions of major storms. Bill Nye also joined this launch with The Planetary Society which will use a solar sail to propel a small satellite into space within the next week. This was one of the first largest ride-share of US government agencies on one single launch, which includes a mission for the US Air Force.

This launch was expected to be the first time that all three boosters were to be recovered which would have been a major accomplishment for SpaceX and their main priority mission of bringing humans to Mars for colonization missions! Still a great mission nonetheless, and for one of their most difficult launches ever we hope to see even more from SpaceX!

UN Security Expert Claims World In Higher Risk Of Nuclear War

U.N. security expert, Renata Dwan, claims that the world today is at a higher risk of nuclear war compared to tensions in World War II. Dwan states that this is an 'urgent' issue that must be addressed by the global community.

The Director of the U.N. Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) mentions that most of the nuclear superpowers are seeking ways to modernize their nuclear weapons as trade tensions and border tensions flared up in 2018. Worrying particularly of advancements of weapons technology emerging from the United States and Chinese trade conflict. So far, only 23 have signed the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The United States and Russia have both opposed this treaty. Countries like Cuba, Mexico, South Africa, etc have signed the treaty.
“I think that it’s genuinely a call to recognize – and this has been somewhat missing in the media coverage of the issues – that the risks of nuclear war are particularly high now, and the risks of the use of nuclear weapons, for some of the factors I pointed out, are higher now than at any time since World War Two.” - Renata Dwan

What are your thoughts about using nuclear weapons? Should we use nuclear energy at all?

Ford Motor Company Cutting 10% Of Global Salaried Workforce

Ford Motor Company announced that they will be cutting 7000 jobs by the end of August this year, roughly 10% of their global salaried workforce, in a move which the company says will save them $600 million. This comes after China and the US expanded a trade war.

Image result for f150 jim hackett

In an email sent by CEO Jim Hackett to Ford Employees, Hackett said, "To succeed in our competitive industry, and position Ford to win in a fast-changing future, we must reduce bureaucracy, empower managers, speed decision making, focus on the most valuable work and cut costs". Most of the workers that will be laid off have been reportedly "white collar" employees. Ford has been under a restructuring after some shifts in executives as they have been losing money by selling vehicles abroad. In the US they have had strong truck sales, but respectively, most of Ford Motor Company's revenue has been coming from their credit-related services.

2300 salaried jobs will be cut in the US, and the rest will be of overseas employees, including 20% of top-management positions. The White House prior to this announcement by Ford has expanded the trade war with China and China has retaliated. So far no deal has been made between the US and China, but Ford's push into the Chinese market will be more difficult if these tariffs expand. Donald Trump hasn't made any public announcement about the loss of Jobs from Ford.

At the time of this writing, Ford is valued at $10.25 a - $.04 (-0.39%) loss from its Close.

Foxconn Founder Demands Communist China Recognize The Republic of China (Taiwan)

Foxconn Founder, Terry Gou, has been pushing for a presidential run in Taiwan for the 2020 presidential election to combat a political infiltration by Beijing's leadership (The People's Republic of China) on the island, this comes during an increase of the US-China trade war.
Image result for terry gou trump

Terry Gou has challenged Beijing's leadership as he said: "[China] must acknowledge the existence of the Republic of China." The Republic of China is Taiwan's official name. The People's Republic of China, what we commonly know as "China",  has been restricting Taiwanese leadership while trying to influence politicians to favor Beijing leadership. Gou is apart of the Kuomintang political party, which is a historical party that has had violent conflicts with the People's Republic of Beijing.

Terry Gou is one of Taiwan's richest person, estimates value him at around $7.8 Billion. He and many other Taiwanese businessmen want more autonomy from Beijing and hope to expand trade with the west. Beijing, and the Communist Party of China, recently have expanded the Trade war against the United States in retaliation to Trump's tariffs. China has retaliated by expanding tariffs of their own affecting over 1000 products, and hundreds of large and medium-sized corporations that rely on shipments from Taiwan. Today, the Dow Industrial Average fell over 600 points after the announcement of China's new tariffs.

The United States currently has a $410 Billion deficit with China. The current president of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Tsai Ing-wen, is the first woman to hold that office. She is currently serving 4 years per term with an election arriving in 2020. She assumed office on May 20th, 2016.

Trump Considering Waiver For Jones Act In Puerto Rico

President Donald Trump is considering granting waivers against the Jones Act for merchants transporting natural gas to and from the North East and Puerto Rico. This comes after Puerto Rico recently passed a stiff limit on dirty energy production.

The Jones Act was enacted in 1920 apart of the Merchant Marine Act of 1920. It's a protectionist law that prohibits merchants from hauling goods such as oil, between US Ports unless the ships are American made, owned, and crewed with US citizens and permanent US residents. It has been argued that this law benefits US merchant ships while stifling growth for national islanders in Puerto Rico. The Jones Act has had ramifications in slowing the production of other larger vessel's in the US while it creates an incentive to continue departing veteran American ships to and from Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican goods exported and imported are allegedly sold at a premium due to the Jones Acts requirements. Under extreme pressure after natural disasters there generally may be a shortage of ships as Puerto Rico must import greater amounts of goods from abroad, leading to an increased cost of goods.

The Governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló, has called on President Trump and other politicians to support an extended waiver of 10 years for sections of the Jones Act that will hamper Natural Gas trade. The Governor of Florida, Ron Desantis, has also ordered counties in Florida to offer Spanish-language ballots in all 32 Florida counties, thus helping a good portion of Cuban-American and Puerto Rican-American citizens gain a voice in the upcoming election. After Hurrican Maria, the population of Puerto Rico fell a dramatic 4% from July 2017 to July 2018.

Today is also the Puerto Rican Day Parade in Orlando, Florida. Did you attend?

Alex Jones Blows Up In Texas Restaurant Then Escorted Outside

Well known conspiracy theorist and melodramatic news reporter, Alex Jones, was seen on video harassing patrons at a Texas Restaurant, Lucy's Fried Chicken, on March 23rd, 2019. Prior to the video, the customers allegedly were mocking Alex Jones and expressing progressive liberal comments which were confirmed in a video from the Alex Jones Channel.

In the video you see Alex Jones calling these unknown customers "scum". Another commenter asks sarcastically, "when are you due?" as Jones continues his tirade against the customers who are seated. Jones then challenges one of the seated customers to a fight claiming that the customer was trying to be "tough". A man, presumably an employee of Lucy's Fried Chicken, came to calm the situation and alert Alex Jones that he was making a disturbance. Jones retorted and claimed that the man seated was getting into his face, which is contradictory to what the current video shows. Eventually, the staff does calm down the situation while also escorting Alex Jones off the premises.

There so far has been no footage of the events prior to the current video circulating through social media showing that the agitators were being violent. Local authorities were not called during the incident and everything progressed normally after this event.

ACLU: Travel Warning For Minorities Over Sanctuary Cities Fight In Florida

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has issued a travel warning for immigrants and minorities who are traveling to Florida as state Republicans attempt to push a strong immigration bill banning sanctuary cities while pushing to limit the asylum seeking process.

The ACLU has issued a "travel advisory urging immigrants and people of color to use extreme caution when traveling to Florida", as stated from a social media post, on April 8th, 2019. The ACLU claims the bills being passed are "draconian anti-immigrant" legislation. The bills under question are HB 527 and SB 168, two prominent bills being pushed through the Florida legislature. The Florida legislature consists of a Republican majority.

SB 168 was introduced by State Senator Joe Gruters, the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. Gruters stated that the bill will prohibit cities and local municipalities from non-cooperation with the federal government regarding immigration laws and regulations, even if the local populace voted against federal legislation. Some are calling it the willful encroachment of the federal government supported by the state legislature. Ron DeSantis is very supportive of President Donald Trump's immigration policy and he will likely back legislation banning sanctuary cities like those proposed today.

Donald Trump has been targeting sanctuary cities and attempting to limit established asylum legislation that has helped thousands of DACA recipients in this country. His stance has caused a large rift within Florida which has a strong Latino population and has divided the state, even among some Republicans. It's very likely that Republicans in Florida will support this legislation, but the general populace seems to be unsupportive of their strict policies and would rather seek alternatives.

Do you support Donald Trump's immigration policy? Do you support how Ron DeSantis is handling the state?

Puerto Rico: 100% Renewable Energy by 2050

Puerto Rican officials have recently passed a bill that would fully end coal-based energy production in 2020. Puerto Rican Governor, Ricardo Rosello, approved this bill seeking 100% renewable energy production for the island by 2050.

    Image result for prepa

Eco-activists in Puerto Rico garnered a major win by succeeding in promoting self-sustainable alternatives to the energy crisis that plagues the island. The energy crisis was due to natural causes such as Hurricane Irma and Maria which caused destruction to over 80% of the islands power transmission lines (over 25,000 miles of electrical lines). These storms cause upwards of $80 billion worth of property destruction and numerous lives were tragically lost during and even after the storm. Another major catalyst to the fall of the power grid was thanks to local corrupted employees and government officials.

"... we are committed to transitioning from fossil fuels as early as possible..." - Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosello

Supporters of this bill, SB 1121, have been at some odds with the leadership of the island when it came with handling the corruption of their centralized energy producer, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA). Some have been reportedly upset that Liquefied Natural Gas is also approved for this "green energy bill" and consider the bill to be a sham. Liquefied Natural Gas imports to the island have already returned to pre-Hurrican Maria levels. LNG imports are very likely to surpass the 2016 rate by the end of 2019, as the island transitions away from oil and coal and favor renewable energy and Natural Gas. Overall, they are supportive of the bill but do not wish LNG to be included.

Notable SB 1121 Requirements and Politicians Pledges:

    • Fully end coal-based energy production in 2020.
    • Ban all coal plants and expansions in 2028 on the island to meet the 100% requirement set forth in the bill.
    • Reach 40% renewable energy for the island by 2025
    • Reach 100% renewable energy for the island by 2050
    • Liquefied Natural Gas is permitted
    • Lead to the privatization of PREPA
    • Will decentralize energy production on the island
Opponents of the bill claim that the bill will bolster corruption in the island due to actions that may lead to the privatization of the energy utility company. As LNG grows and it displaces Coal and Oil energy production, that would lead to more privatized grids.

What are your thoughts about privatizing PREPA?

Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security has Resigned

The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kirstjen Nielsen, is expected to leave the white effective immediately. News broke about this after a tweet from United State's President, Donald Trump, around 5PM (April 7, 2019) mentioned her resignation.

DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen Set to Travel Southern ...

    ...related stories...
Trump's government shutdown cost the US over $10 Billion...

Kirstjen Nielsen is leaving the DHS due to a massive overhaul supported by pro-Trump advisers like Stephen Miller. Media reports confirmed through Kirstjen Nielsen's Twitter account that she turned in her resignation and thanked the President for the opportunity serving as Secretary for the DHS. She had also praised the DHS in a separate tweet. Nielsen is known for defending the "zero tolerance" Trump policy that resulted in thousands of families being forcefully separated regardless if these individuals committed a violent crime or not. Nielsen and Trump received a lot of pressure from the media and has received strong opposition for their policies.

Her resignation comes after Trump has made many calls that he will go in a stricter direction when it comes to immigration policy and the illegal immigration "national emergency". The president has called to shut down the Southern Mexican-American border after Democrats and Republican opponents have stayed firm on their immigration positions. Reports suggest she is resigning due to Donald Trump being unsuccessful in handling the alleged "migrant crisis".

    Trumps Tweet included:
"Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen will be leaving her position..." said President Donald Trump "... I am pleased to announce that Kevin McAleenan... ... will become Acting Secretary for @DHSgov".
The successor to Kirstjen Nielsen, as stated by Donald Trump, will be the Commissioner of the Customs and Border Protection, Kevin McAleenan. McAleenan will be the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, a government agency with roughly 240,000 federal employees.

What do you think about Nielsen leaving and McAleenan picking back up for her? Will McAleenan serve better?

SpaceX Launching First Commercial Falcon Heavy & NASA Admin Talks Moon Mission 2024

SpaceX is targeting a launch of a Saudi-Arabian satellite into orbit on April 10th, after delays, this comes after a successful launch of the Falcon Heavy where Elon Musk launched his own Tesla Roadster into space. This launch will mark the company's first commercial contract mission for the Falcon Heavy, and the Falcon Heavy has received support from NASA Administrator for a next NASA Mission.

The Falcon Heavy is a partially-reusable rocket developed by SpaceX, it was designed to bring humans into space, beyond low-earth orbit. SpaceX has broken many records with many industry firsts and they plan to break more with the Falcon Heavy and the long-awaited Starship and Super Heavy (the BFR, which is designed to bring humans to Mars). The Falcon Heavy will have a launch window sometime between 7pm to 9pm and you will be able to witness the return flight of two of the boosters in Orlando, FL. (Launch window opens specifically at 6:36 PM Orlando EST)

Falcon Heavy will launch from pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center.

    Saudi-Arabian Payload Arabsat- 6a

The Falcon Heavy will carry a Saudi Arabian satellite, the Arabsat-6a. This satellite is one of Lockheed Martin's most advanced communication satellites ever created. Arabsat-6a will be accompanied by other satellites with the Arabsat-6G program that will provide television, internet, telephone and secure communications for those customers within the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

This will be the second launch of the Falcon Heavy.

NASA Chief: Falcon Heavy To Moon 2024?

Jim Bridenstine, the NASA Administrator, held a town hall to talk about NASA's possible future missions to the moon where he suggested that NASA would use SpaceX's Falcon Heavy to bring humans to the moon by 2024. He stated there will also possibly be an unmanned mission in 2020. This will be possible if NASA gets more public support for these projects.

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, Indicted For Corruption and Bribery?

Benjamin Netanyahu, 69, will be indicted by the Attorney General for corruption in Israel. Netanyahu denies these claims. Marking the first time a sitting Prime Minister has ever been charged for corruption in Israel.

    Benjamin Netanyahu Indicted: Corruption Charges

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit announced this investigation on Thursday after 2 years of investigating Netanyahu. Netanyahu was also recommended to be indicted for corruption by the police. The charges against Netanyahu still need to be formally addressed by a required hearing, charges include bribery, fraud and breach of trust. The hearing will likely take place after the April 9th Israeli election. The Likud Party (Netanyahu is affiliated with this party) claimed that this was a move of political persecution and that it is a smear campaign against Netanyahu.

One of the three major cases on Benjamin Netanyahu notes that he allegedly accepted around $260k worth of gifts from influential businessmen in return for favorable coverage in the media. He could face up to 13 years in Federal prison if convicted of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

    Israel Election

Netanyahu is still seeking a 4th-consecutive term, if he does win the election then he'll be the longest serving Prime Minister in Israel. Current poll numbers from the Times of Israel have the Likud party at 19% of people who would likely vote for them. 23% Said they would likely rather vote for the Blue and White party prior to the indictment announcement. After the announcement, the Likud Party falls to 15% losing significant support to the Blue and White Party.

Benjamin Netanyahu does not plan to resign after these recent events and is going to proceed with his election campaign. Opponents have called Benjamin Netanyahu to step down immediately.

Trump Defensive Over National Emergency Lawsuit From ACLU

United States President, Donald Trump, put the nation under a national emergency over the recent government shutdown and is now being sued by the ACLU. This was a reaction to the agreement made after Donald Trump failed to get support for a Southern American border wall on the Mexican border during the federal government shutdown, which cost Americans around $11 billion.

    "No National Emergency"

ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero stated that "... there is no national emergency", which Donald Trump had even admitted before regarding the "immigration crisis". Romeo continues to call this action an illegal power grab by the president. Many other have claimed that this move, by the president, breaches the separation of powers within the United States Constitution.

"We will be filing a lawsuit early next week." - ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romeo

The ACLU asserts that President Donald Trump is evading Congressional funding restrictions by using the power established by 10 U.S.C . S2808, which was meant to support active duty service members during wartime, among other examples of breaches against other laws. Democrats fervently have opposed President Donald Trump's recent moves and so have many Republicans such as Senator of Kentucky, Rand Paul and Senator of Florida, Marco Rubio.

Rubio also stated, " We have a crisis at our southern border, but no crisis justifies violating the Constitution...". Rand Paul also publicly stated on social media that "...[extra-constitutional] executive actions are wrong, no matter which party does them." Democrats are coming together to also making a similar bill to thwart Trump. White house officials have stated that Donald Trump may veto any legislation attempting to diminish his actions.

Canada Has Now Legalized Marijuana, Trump Decriminalizing Marijuana Too?

Today, Canada has become the second country in the entire world to legalize marijuana nationally, after Uruguay who was the first!

This is major news for the country as there are many marijuana tourists looking to smoke in Uruguay, Canada, and Colorado (United States). Canada has a significant population, far larger than Uruguay so this could be a financial boom for marijuana companies in Canada and for US farmers! Donald Trump's administration has also hinted that they may push for nationwide marijuana reform and has suggested that the drug war against Marijuana/Cannabis is over!

In Canada, the push for legalization was set forth by Justin Trudeau (the Prime Minister of Canada), which he made good on his 2015 Campaign pledge. All 13 provinces and territories are now creating new regulations under the revised federal law. The legal age to purchase marijuana throughout the country has been set to 19 years old, while Quebec and Alberta have set their age-minimum to purchase at 18 years old.

Canada may set the stage for western powers to begin the end of the global war on drugs!
