Latinx (noun)
1. a person descended from or originating in Latin America who rejects Latin American cultures and their gender norms, particularly the grammatical gender conventions of the Spanish language.
2. used as a contemptuous term for a Latin person.
Notes:
Latinx is not commonly used outside fringe progressive circles in the United States. Originally, the word was intended to represent a non-binary term for Latinos. If used outside of progressive American circles, most Hispanics and other Latinos have expressed their opposition to the term; ensuring a deep mistrust stemming from the term itself. There is no unified pronunciation of the term 'Latinx' in Spanish, complicating its adoptance.
