CEO Of Steemit, @Ned, Withdrew A Massive Amount Of Money

The CEO of Steemit, @Ned, just withdrew over 1.5 Million Steem to Bittrex, as he powered up 1 Steem with the message "moving / hiding all my cryptocurrency". This comes after a rocky hardfork of the Steem blockchain and a massive, over 60%, cut of the Steemit workforce.

Currently, Steem is ranked 51st of the most valuable cryptocurrencies (according to CoinMarketCap).

Steemit, for those who don't know, is a website that is a decentralized application (Dapp) where you can earn rewards for getting upvotes on content you create (such as blogs, music, videos, photography, etc).

It's not often we see major transfers of money from Ned to exchanges but 1.5 million steem equates to roughly $400k USD which has made a lot of people wonder about the integrity of the Steem ecosystem. A lot of Steem and SBD (Steem Backed Dollars) investors are worried about Ned's recent actions and some members of the community are very upset with how Ned is handling the situation.

The development team on Steemit has actually improved their communication recently by allowing pinned posts to important updates to the Steemit site and API's which is a well received feature for most people.

Steem Block: 29,239,243
Ned Transacted exactly 1,543,650 Steem = $ 398,672.31 USD at the time of this post.

Do you have any Steem? Do you plan on leaving after Ned's recent actions? Comment below!
