Block Out 2024 | Block Mainstream Celebrities Movement

OPINION — #BlockOut2024 is a new movement and trend on TikTok and other social networks by people who want to block mainstream celebrities from participating in events such as the Met Gala. It originally stemmed from some pro-Palestine sentiment but has evolved and joined with other boycott movements, such as Boycotting Disney for alleged LGBT propaganda in children's entertainment within conservative American communities.

The general premise is that these people who attend the Met Gala spend upwards of millions of dollars in total for entry to the event just for that money to be donated to an artistic organization instead of valuable causes. It is an example of how disconnected rich media elites are from common people. Many advocates call on these musicians, artists, and media juggernauts to put their money where their mouth is. They also want them to use their platform to advocate for relative peace overseas. Many advocates are calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, which will be unlikely, but that passion is what has ignited this angst against the Met Gala. To be fair, most celebrities at the Met Gala are not experts on geo-political affairs. As musicians, models, artists, and filmmakers, you couldn't expect them to be well-versed in something well out of their expertise, however, their ignorance can only be justified if the people weren't so vocal about the issue.

Regardless of our personal opinions of the affairs in the Middle East, the progressive faction that has called for this movement has a very just position. In my opinion, I think they are absolutely right and conservatives should join them in their protest against the Met Gala. The media elites have been manipulating our movements; they have even been the centerpiece for why conservatives and progressives don't see eye to eye even if it's issues that we agree with. I think blocking celebrities, whether for Palestine or Israel, or because they are anti-Christian, anti-ethical, or just alleged child abusers, is absolutely warranted.

I've already begun blocking many mainstream creators, as I've already been boycotting most mainstream production films and musicians. I cannot, in good conscience, continue supporting companies, brands, and individuals who are just morally bankrupt. It is extremely tough, most mainstream corporations are just that—very bankrupt, morally. We need a serious shift in power dynamics in this country and I think it's fine for the people to become the media.

Nickelodeon documentary "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" sparks conversation on Child Safety

Paramount+'s docuseries "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" reignited discussions about child safety in 'Hollywood'. The series delves into allegations of a toxic environment fostered by producer Dan Schneider on Nickelodeon shows in the 90s and 00s. Former cast members described inappropriate jokes, suggestive clothing, and feeling uncomfortable among other far more illicit actions. Drake Bell, at the center of this recent documentary, shares his experiences with Brian Peck, Dan Schneider, and others on his time with Nickelodeon Studios.

While Schneider denies some claims but has recently released an interview where he has apologized for some of his other actions. The documentary raises concerns about the power dynamics of children's sets and how producers, showrunners, and executives can abuse minors. It highlights the need for stricter protocols to protect young performers and ensure a safe, professional atmosphere. The impact of "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" may extend beyond Nickelodeon, prompting a broader conversation about child well-being in the film industry. The docuseries continues to share new episodes, but recent trends reveal that this news will shatter many expectations in 2024.

Other corporations are not to be spared either, people speculate that other child stars from networks such as The Disney Channel and DisneyXD may share their own stories. This will have a lasting effect on Hollywood for years to come as parents across the country are already on edge because of other sexualized and LGBT content in children's programming.

While the documentary focuses on the 1990s and 2000s, the conversation it sparks is very much about the present and future. With stricter protocols likely to be implemented, the entertainment industry can move forward with a renewed focus on child safety. This doesn't just apply to television; the ripple effects of "Quiet on Set" could be felt across all platforms, from streaming services to film studios.  This cultural shift can ensure a healthier environment where young performers can thrive without fear of exploitation.

Florida Boxers and MMA Fighters Will No Longer Be Suspended For THC

The Florida State Boxing Commission has decided to change their policy regarding athletes consuming cannabis-related products.

Earlier this week the commission has decided to completely remove 'Marijuana' from it's prohibited drug list. Previously, even small traces of THC could have a fighter suspended from fighting for a period of time, and in some cases fined while also having a victory overturned if they had won a previous fight while having cannabis related chemicals in their system.

The only pressure that fighters may get now is from another association known as the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) which puts a fine on any fighter who tests positive for marijuana while having a blood rating of 150 ng/ml worth of THC in their system, which has been changed due to the recent decision of the Florida State Boxing Commission. They stated that suspension is not recommended anymore for any amount of cannabis, and their main concern seems to be regarding fight night. They don't wish to suspend any fighter but instead deter them from arriving to fight while 'high'.

Other states such as Nevada and Texas still hold strict policies against fighters consuming cannabis products, however, with support from the UFC (Ultimate Fight Champion) and the deregulation of cannabis, they are likely to become more lenient as time passes and may change their policies altogether.

What do you think about these changes?

Alex Jones Blows Up In Texas Restaurant Then Escorted Outside

Well known conspiracy theorist and melodramatic news reporter, Alex Jones, was seen on video harassing patrons at a Texas Restaurant, Lucy's Fried Chicken, on March 23rd, 2019. Prior to the video, the customers allegedly were mocking Alex Jones and expressing progressive liberal comments which were confirmed in a video from the Alex Jones Channel.

In the video you see Alex Jones calling these unknown customers "scum". Another commenter asks sarcastically, "when are you due?" as Jones continues his tirade against the customers who are seated. Jones then challenges one of the seated customers to a fight claiming that the customer was trying to be "tough". A man, presumably an employee of Lucy's Fried Chicken, came to calm the situation and alert Alex Jones that he was making a disturbance. Jones retorted and claimed that the man seated was getting into his face, which is contradictory to what the current video shows. Eventually, the staff does calm down the situation while also escorting Alex Jones off the premises.

There so far has been no footage of the events prior to the current video circulating through social media showing that the agitators were being violent. Local authorities were not called during the incident and everything progressed normally after this event.

Ocala Local Artist Jun Jun Arrested: Alleged Shooting Threat In Lyrics

Local Ocala musician, Christopher "Jun Jun" Mccallum, 27, arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot up a school in a social media still-video on Facebook. The video contained music and charged lyrics from his song.

"Jun Jun" faces a $50,000 bond after he was arrested for allegedly posting social media threats about a rival gang from Gainesville on Facebook. These threats contained a line that was highlighted by the authorities, "catch you at a Gator game and shoot the whole campus up". Suggesting that he and others would go to a University of Florida's Gators game to commit a shooting. This was considered a major concern for local authorities due to gang violence in the area. They suspect that a next major event where another rapper, Keyanta "Yungeen Ace" Bullard, will be where a major conflict may be held between these rival gangs, as there has been a conflict before.

Background for Bullard, Yungeen Ace was the sole survivor of a quadruple shooting on Town Center Parkway, in Jacksonville, FL in June 2018.

The specific bar (Viewer Discretion is advised, contains strong language):

"It was some whole-shit but since you want to amp it up
catch you at a Gator game and shoot the whole campus up"

Continues...

"He aint a shooter he don't even know if his gun works
Don't let me catch you at that Yungeen Ace Concert"

The song, with no official name ("Untitled"), was prepared seemingly without many filters, giving the impression that it could have been an improvisation or a quickly prepared track. Others songs of his were of a different quality than the recording seen above. The lyrics in the video suggest a long time conflict between these groups and specific people. It includes a long struggle not just the violence, but the growing of violence between the two gangs and an alleged territory battle.
McAllum made a post on social media stating that he was in jail:

"...Gville put the police on me about a song but no worries...God got me..."
-Christopher McAllum

Social Media commenters suggested to McCallum to legally protect himself and counter sue. Most are very supportive of him, with a few exceptions. This case is highlighting major free speech concerns such as when the FCC and parents sued and fined Eminem and radios stations for sharing his controversial music that contained descriptive violence and inappropriate lyrics. Another example from when another well-known artist, Snoop Dogg, came under fire for depicting the president being shot by him with a fake gun in a live-action dramatized music video. Some Free speech advocates have come in defense of Jun Jun among other artists citing freedom of speech rights regardless of their history or the personal character of the artist.

This is another one of Jun Jun's tracks that is currently available on YouTube.

Ideas for 2019

We've been pondering on a few ideas on where we want to take this blog and we want to expand a little more on some ideas, and cover recent changes thoroughly.

Social Media

As some of you already know we recently made the Gab and Minds profile for this blog, we also still have our Facebook. We also tried to make an account on Steemit but for some reason its taking longer than it should be (It's been more than a month since we tried to register and still no confirmation on the new account). With this expansion of our social media efforts we'll be able to spread our message to particular communities (like libertarian, technological, or political communities).

On Minds we'll be using most of the MINDS tokens we gain to advertise directly on their social network (primarily for our posts). On Facebook we'll also be running campaigns but we won't prioritize much on fiat currency based advertising, unless major events occur. We'll primarily

We DO NOT  have any plans to  create a Twitter, or a Snapchat account.

Entertainment

As some of you already know our editor Luis Rosales is also a musician on YouTube and wants to promote local musicians, stars and artists here on our site. We'll be covering mostly major releases of content, or egalitarian or libertarian related actions or content. We'll also donate cryptocurrencies to some musicians within our network to help them promote their music.

BEYOND 2019

We hope to expand quickly in 2019 and strive to possibly get our first domain name and maybe break away from the Blogspot ecosystem. We've been on Blogger for quite a few years, but we're considering leaving, however we are talking about updating the blog using the new presets. We haven't decided just yet, it would all depend on quickly we grow, but it's a high possibility for 2022, or 2023.

To help support us and the advancements of cryptocurrencies please bookmark our site and come back tomorrow, or follow us on social media, we rely heavily on advertisement so please help us grow! Please click here if you want to learn how to support us (without spending any money).

Also have a great rest of the year, so far 2019 has treated us well for the first week, let's keep the positivity and the truth expanding!
