Donald Trump seems to be ready to prepare a speech for the State of The Union after Nancy Pelosi has called on Trump to delay the speech, or at the very least prepare it in writing and send it to congress as an alternative during the federal government shutdown, which has lasted over a month!

Nancy Pelosi, on January 16th, called on Donald Trump to delay the state of the union speech, which is set to be delivered on January 29th, citing security concerns during the government shutdown over immigration policy and border policy of the Southern United States border. Nancy Pelosi would have to allow for Trump to deliver the speech to Congress as she is the Speaker of the House. This has caused a great rift between democrats and the republicans and increased tension in regards to attempting to negotiate a deal for the wall. The alternative plan Trump would have, if accepting her suggestions would be for him to present the speech in writing, which was the traditional practice of delivering the SOTU speech prior to primetime television. In response to the shutdown against Pelosi, Donald Trump canceled her trip to Brussels and Afghanistan a day after Pelosi wanted Trump to cancel the Speech.
It was reported by ABC that Donald Trump would be delivering two State of The Union addresses, one to Congress, and the other would be presented at a public political rally (likely a pro-Trump rally) outside of Washington. Since the government shutdown, the popularity of Nancy Pelosi has risen and more people are searching for her on Google.
These current plans are subject to change, especially if Nancy Pelosi approves Donald Trump's Speech (which may be unlikely), or if Trump's administration decides to fund a live speech privately, or present a separate public speech elsewhere.
